Colours go in and out every season and this is no exception.  For some reason I feel like there are two winter seasons.  Before and after the Holidays.  Personally I like before the holidays because of the festivity.  I just wanted to share the nail polish I use around this season.  Most colours look great either with a matte or shiny top coat.  Hope you enjoy!

Nudes... No better way to start off this list with the classiest, understated, hottest trend right now.  These colours give a polished elegant look that isn't flashy yet leaves a statement.  Perfect for elegant dinners or meeting the parents.

Dark Colours are good for late nights and dinners.  These are the elegant classics.  They look good with any classy, simple, classic outfit.

Colours (Left to Right):
O.P.I~Big Apple Red
E.L.F~Dark Navy

Dark colours are good for nights but what about days we are feeling less cold and dark.  Light Pastels are so cute!  Especially when you are missing warmer months, they are fun yet still cool.

Colours (Left to Right):
O.P.I~Alpine Snow
Essie~Muchi, Muchi

Metals are perfect for the holiday season.  They have the perfect touch of festive fun without being too over the top.  Gold especially is one of the top Christmas colours.

Essie~Good as Gold
Savina~Bali Bliss
Urban Outfitters~Runaway

As I mentioned above metals are perfect for festive fun without looking overdone.  But if you are that girl who likes the fun, statement, flashy looks glitter colours are perfect.  They add just the right sparkle.  They work great for night parties.  But I must warn you, glitter is extremely hard to remove!

Sally Hansen~Rockstar Pink
NYC~Starry Silver Glitter
Wet and Wild~Sparked/Etincelante
Urban Outfitters~Sweet Sugar (and it's matte!)
China Glaze~Electrify

I know this isn't nail polish but I couldn't finish without sharing this with you guys!  IT IS A MIRACLE.  Most times the reason I didn't do my nails was because I didn't have time to let them dry, but with these drying drops I don't have to worry!  They dry in ten seconds.

O.P.I~Drip Dry
Fashionable city dwellers show off their style. (Google Images)

Skinny pants used to be the norm but I feel like this year everybody stepped out of their comfort zone and I hope they do the same next year in 2016.  These pants were popular in the 60s and 70s so they make the perfect essencial for a retro look.  I love this trend because you can rock it anywhere from the streets of the city to the beach and it's so comfortable yet you still look put together and fashionable.  Flowy Pants, also known as palazzo pants, complete any look and never make it look boring!  I was starting to get bored of the same types of pants all the time so these are so refreshing.  They can also look like a maxi skirt.  What is also so cool about them is they complete any street style look.  I LOVE THEM.
Most love thick, full, or voluminous hair but only some are born with that gift.  The good news is there are plenty of solutions...

Switch your normal shampoo to a volumizing one for a little boost.  It's not the most drastic volumizer but it works, especially if you mix it with other techniques.  I use the herbal essences volumizing shampoo which I feel has worked best for volume but I also use the Organix "thick and full", to be honest I don't notice any changes for volume but i did notice how healthy my hair is after using this.  If you know of one that works better please share in the comments below.

Another product I use is the Aveda "brilliant" medium hold hairspray.  I use it when blow drying and it works amazing.  It's a miracle product!  It gives my hair like five times its original volume.  It works really good on my hair but my hair isn't really thick so if your isn't like mine find the equivalent of this product for your hair type.  But if you do use this then make sure to follow the next technique.

Blow drying your hair upside down help a tiny bit but not too much, HOWEVER mixing this technique with product helps a lot.  Apply the product you use (for me it's the brilliant Aveda spray)  and blow dry your hair upside down for even more volume.

Dry Shampoo is another product that adds volume.  If you are lazy with your hair (I'm guilty of that sometimes) it works double.  Absorbing excess oil and volumizing!  I use "Batiste" which I feel is one of the best brands for this product.

I often have trouble while working because of time but this method saved me!  The "Pomodoro Method" for maximum efficiency studying helps with time management.  THIS WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE.
The Pomodoro method is very simple and easy:
25 minutes of hard work
5 minute break except for every third one,
the third one should be 20 minutes long
repeat!
This method will help with efficiency and effectiveness. Hope it helped!

Young people especially suffer with acne.  It's really important to take good care of your skin in order to have clear and healthy looking skin. I included links for each of the products which are all really affordable!
Morning:
When you wake up to get ready in the morning one of the most important things to do is wash your face.  For mornings I prefer a softer face wash like Cetaphil.   It gets rid of all the grossness you wake up with if you know what I mean, haha.  It gets you started off right with clean skin.  On top of that it wakes you up!  If you wear makeup don't apply excess.
Throughout the Day:
It depends on how your day has been but if you’ve been pretty active wipe of with a wet towel or wipe when needed, or instead to save time you can also use some oil absorbing sheets or blotting papers.  These sheets absorb all the extra oil on your skin and leave it feeling that way.  THEY ARE AMAZING.  I know they sell some in Sephora in really cute packs but the one and only brand I’ve always used has been Clean and Clear .  Clean and Clear (in my opinion) is one of the best skin care brands and always works like a miracle.
Night:
REMOVE ALL MAKEUP.  Makeup clogs pores causing acne so it is really important to avoid at as much as possible.  As soon as you can wipe it all off.  If you take night showers this is especially important.  The steam from the shower opens up your pores, that means makeup and all the gunk would get in therefore clogging your skin.  Remove with makeup removing wipes, Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are known to be one of the best products for that out there.  At night I think it's a good idea to use a stronger face wash at night to remove everything that accumulated throughout your busy day.  I like face scrubs because they leave your face feeling super soft.  I love Neutrogena or Clean and Clear products for that.  After washing my face I apply CLEAN AND CLEAR ADVANTAGE ACNE SPOT TREATMENT which I posted about a while ago when trying it out, since then it has become part of my daily skincare routine.  It's a miracle.
Every Once in a While:
Applying these everyday might dry up your skin but sometimes it's fun to treat yourself to a relaxing face mask or pore strips.
Recommendation:
I got this gel brush thing to wash my face at Sephora a while ago and it's amazing.  I feel like it cleans your face a lot more than when you just use your hands because it deep cleans.  Its called the SEPHORA COLLECTION Precision Pore Cleansing Pad.

It's October and to be more precise one week before Halloween!  Some of us haven't even decided what we're going to be even though most of us have an event or party to go to.  So here I have a few really cute and easy last minute costume ideas for you guys. Hope they help!

Sugar Skull:
This costume looks really cool and since it focuses mainly on the face you don't have to worry a lot about the outfit.  Just buy some face paint or a sugar skull makeup kit and find a tutorial.  They're really easy to do.   The picture from above is taken from a really good tutorial I found on YouTube, here's the link! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ2PE0Ei-eY

Modernized Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz:
Get a light blue gingham overall type dress or D.I.Y it (Bethany Mota has a cute and EXTREMELY EASY D.I.Y for that) and wear a white top underneath (crop tops are a cute idea).  Pare that cute outfit with some red converse and a braided hairdo.

Cat:
This is really unoriginal to be honest but it's the easiest.  Wear a cute black outfit, cat ear headband, and draw some whiskers.  Also for your makeup do a cat eye!
Chic Mime:
This is one of my favorites.  I think it's so chic.  A fashionable take on the classic mime!  Wear a pretty horizontal black stripe shirt with black skinny jeans or tights.  Add a red little silky scarf to match your red lip.  The girl from the picture on the left is  instagram user @xulia_arneiro and did an amazing job with this makeup look.

I hope you guys like these costumes and if you guys do recreate one please, please, please tag me on Instagram as @daniur1 or on google+ +Daniela Uribe  so I can see them♥

I would like to add none of these pictures are mine and I give credit to google images!

There is a new trend!  And I have noticed it especially in big cities.  Guys, this isn't just a normal trend this is a throw back trend!  The Stan Smith Shoe is making a huge comeback.  This shoe appeared in the 1960s and became extremely popular in the 1980s selling around 22 million pairs.  In 2012 the shoe stopped being sold despite how popular it was.  In 2014 it came back and now I've seen so many people (both guys and girls!) rocking their street style with the Adidas Stan Smith shoes.  Recently I got a pair and it is one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned!  I am obsessed!

Fashion Tip: Pair them with rolled up jeans or with a graphic midi skirt. Both looks look amazing!

Disclaimer: none of these pictures are mine!!
To be honest Iv'e never been more exited for workout clothes since now. It has become so fashionable and trendy. So down below I just compiled a little group of pictures I found on the internet that show the latest sport trends. These outfits are sooo cute! If it wasn't obvious already it's really in style to mix a neon pop of colour to a monochromatic outfit that uses black, white, or gray.

And in case you need motivation I've got you covered ;)

A lot of people ask me what I use on my hair to make it soft, smooth, smell good or long.  Sorry to break it to you but to make it long you need patience
and time haha.  My hair is naturally smooth/ soft because it's straight but I have noticed that some products help it become even softer or smoother.  So I'm going to make this post to answer all those questions.
I wash my hair about every two to three days because I don't want to over dry it but it depends on your hair type.  I use herbal essences shampoo and apply conditioner every time.  When I started using this shampoo and conditioner I noticed a lot of differences.  First off I noticed my hair looked overall better, shiny, smooth, etc. It was also one of those shampoos that leave your hair smelling REALLY good (unlike some that just smell when out of the bottle and after you rinse your hair it doesn't smell like anything.)  My secret to make my hair feel really soft is too apply conditioner and not just leave it there, I massage it in and play with it for two minutes before rinsing.  I am in love with herbal essences and STRONGLY recommend it.  I use herbal essences for long hair, volume, and the one for smoothness.
I like to let my hair air dry when I can and try to avoid heat because it's not the best thing for your hair. but if you do use heat always wear heat protection!  I also don't dye it because I don't need too and i don't want to damage it.
Try brushing your hair when it's dry because it will break easily if you comb it when wet.  I brush my hair very THOROUGHLY and that helps it look shinier, smoother, and straighter.  But don't overdo it because it can damage hair and make it end up looking dull.  I often wear my hair up so the elastics give me a lot of flyaways by breaking my hair so to calm those down I use tigi bed head after party.
When I wear my hair up in a sleek hairstyle all my annoying baby hairs show so I use hair spray but too much hairspray can easily become a sticky mess or make your hair look like a wet rock, lol.  So my trick is get a new toothbrush spray it with hairspray and comb the baby hairs, it works amazing and looks natural.

I usually feel uneasy when trying out a new product because I don't know if it actually works or if it will make my skin break out.  Sometimes when I read things about the product I don't know if I should even believe it.  If you guys are like me I hope you feel more comfortable knowing I have no reason to lie and I just want to help another teen out.  I want to start off by saying that I am not one of those teenagers who suffer from severe acne, I just have breakouts here and there.  When I do get pimples though, they last a long time.  A couple days ago I got a cream called 'Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment' and I thought why not do a review?

Daily Observations:
Day 1:
I put on the cream last night.  It claims that 100% of people noticed results on the first use.  I'm not going to argue even though the effects were very minor.  My spots slightly dried up.
Day 2:
I did notice that the bright red zits are know light pink and almost blend in with my skin. The pimples dried up a bit more.
Day 3:
Wooops!  I lost the cream tube! lol sorry about that..
Day 4:
I found it!  My acne completely dried up and it blends in pretty well with my skin.
Day 5:
My pimples now just look like spots a shade darker than my skin.
Day 6:
They're almost gone!
Day 7:
All my zits are basically gone although my skin isn't completely smooth.
Day 8:
My skin is clear unless you look really closely.
Day 9:
Same as day eight.
Day 10:
My skin is clear!  There is still uneven colour in my fave.
Day 11:
My skin is clear!

Would I recommend this?
Hell yeah!

Final Thoughts:
I loved this product so much! It was very effective and i'm extremely satisfied with the result.  I think this is one of the few items I will completely go through.  I will definitely be re-buying this.

Hope this helped you guys! Please leave your thoughts below. :-)
