"Burst of Joy"-1973, The eldest daughter wears a button front skirt.

This 1970s trend is taking over and I love it.  Button front skirts are super chic, especially a-line ones.  You can also find them super cheap and in any material whether it be denim, suede, etc.  It also fits basically any style, you can match it with fashionable sneakers or vintage oxfords and it looks great anyway.

Seen everywhere on the runways

and spotted everywhere on the streets (especially NYC).
This trend has been blooming for a little while now, on the runway and on the streets, and I think it's absolutely fantastic.  Come to think about it this trend can be accommodated to any style.  Sweaters, tops, and even dresses with holes on the shoulders are super trendy and off the shoulder/ pieces that have a horizontal "neckline" on the shoulders are super cool too.

There's a new shoe in style just in time for spring and summer!  High gladiator sandals have been around for a while based off of roman gladiator gear.  And I have to admit I have always been obsessed.  I used to have a pair but they weren't as cool as they are now.  They used to be up to the ankle but now even some go up mid thigh!  They are perfect for touristy street style or parties, they work for literally anything. Slim and/or long legs look especially good with the trend. BTW Kendall Jenner is like the gladiator sandals queen.

Is all that winter food catching up to you?  Remember that summer bodies are created in the winter.  But don't worry you still have time.  It's never too late too start as long as you start now.

My biggest problem is to get motivation.  Motivation to start and to keep going.
motivation to start dieting:
  1. Know what you want:  Do you want to lose weight or do you want to eat freely.  It's you're decision but you need to want a beach body to get it.  Losing weight is hard but being fat is hard too so choose you're hard.
  2. Just do it:  Try one day of strict dieting and you will already feel better.  Starting is the hardest part so just get the beginning over with.  Don't do it tomorrow do it today because tomorrow won't come.
  3. Change you're mentality:  Once you quit you're excuses you'll start getting results.
  4. Fitspo:  Pictures of you're goal help because they motivate you.  It is a physical reminder of you're goal.  Print pictures, follow fitspo accounts, etc.  Remember you're dream body when you're about to "cheat".
Motivation to keep dieting:
  1. Look how far you've come:  Look at all the changes and how much better you are, you can't turn back now!  Keep going
  2. Change you're mentality:  Stop thinking I can't and start saying I can.  You've got this sh*t!
  3. Fitspo:  Just like I mentioned above.
  4. Choose you're hard:  Working hard or having insecurities.

START:
If you want to be successful in you're diet don't set yourself up for failure.
DON'T set unrealistic standards:  you wont lose 10 pounds in 5 days so don't aim too high or you'll lose motivation.
NEVER starve:  You'll just end up binging.  You'll lose all you're hard work

Tumblr

DIET:
Now on to the actual diet.  DON'T STARVE YOURSELF, it will only set you up for failure.
Start little. Cut carbs for dinner, don't eat anything outside of you're meals, PORTION CONTROL, etc. Start being more aware of what you eat like calorie intake sodium, and sugars.
Cut out processed food, sugary and high calorie stuff, and all the junk, you'll see huge results in just a few weeks.
You can eat food and eventually get too full to keep going but you don't really get full with drinks, that's why sugary drinks are so fattening.  Cut out all sugary drinks, drink water or (real!) juice instead.
You're never really aware of what you eat a meal log helps you keep track of how much you ate and how much you should eat, trust me it helps tons.   I use lifesum which is amazing because it personalizes a diet plan just for you and gives you tips apart from helping keep you aware of what you eat.

WORKOUT:
You not only need to diet but you need to workout so you can burn all that fat off.
Cardio is the most important to burn fat.  Cardio is easy what's hard is you're mentality.  Never say you can't because we all know you can.  Force yourself to keep going because you know you're unstoppable.
It also helps you get in shape and tone you're butt and legs.
Tone you're body, you might already have abs they're just hiding underneath you're fat.
Listen to music, it gets you going.
You can either feel sore or guilty the next day it's you're choice.

TIPS:
  • Dehydration is a big cause for cravings so drink plentry of water
  • Drinking a lot of water, especially before meals will help you control portion sizes and appetite
  • When you get a craving drink water to see if you are actually hungry or not.
  • Sleep depravation causes hunger because of need of energy so get your beauty sleep!
CRAVINGS AND TEMPTATIONS:
The easiest way too end temptation is too not buy junk.  The temptation ends outside of the house.
TO ALL BINGE EATERS:
We all binge sometimes, some more than others.  Find a cure to your binging.  It only takes 21 days to end a bad habit so just sacrifice a month for a lifelong of benefits.
If you stress eat try to relax or workout to relieve you're stress,
If you eat when you're bored keep yourself occupied,
If you eat your problems learn to face them and find other outlets.

NO MORE EXCUSES, START RIGHT NOW.

Colours go in and out every season and this is no exception.  For some reason I feel like there are two winter seasons.  Before and after the Holidays.  Personally I like before the holidays because of the festivity.  I just wanted to share the nail polish I use around this season.  Most colours look great either with a matte or shiny top coat.  Hope you enjoy!

Nudes... No better way to start off this list with the classiest, understated, hottest trend right now.  These colours give a polished elegant look that isn't flashy yet leaves a statement.  Perfect for elegant dinners or meeting the parents.

Dark Colours are good for late nights and dinners.  These are the elegant classics.  They look good with any classy, simple, classic outfit.

Colours (Left to Right):

E.L.F~Dark Navy

Dark colours are good for nights but what about days we are feeling less cold and dark.  Light Pastels are so cute!  Especially when you are missing warmer months, they are fun yet still cool.

Colours (Left to Right):
O.P.I~Alpine Snow
Essie~Muchi, Muchi
Vogue~Cielo Rosa
Revlon~Pure Pearl

Metals are perfect for the holiday season.  They have the perfect touch of festive fun without being too over the top.  Gold especially is one of the top Christmas colours.

Savina~Bali Bliss
Urban Outfitters~Runaway

As I mentioned above metals are perfect for festive fun without looking overdone.  But if you are that girl who likes the fun, statement, flashy looks glitter colours are perfect.  They add just the right sparkle.  They work great for night parties.  But I must warn you, glitter is extremely hard to remove!

Colours (Left to Right):
Sally Hansen~Rockstar Pink
NYC~Starry Silver Glitter
Wet and Wild~Sparked/Etincelante
Urban Outfitters~Sweet Sugar (and it's matte!)
China Glaze~Electrify

I know this isn't nail polish but I couldn't finish without sharing this with you guys!  IT IS A MIRACLE.  Most times the reason I didn't do my nails was because I didn't have time to let them dry, but with these drying drops I don't have to worry!  They dry in ten seconds.

Fashionable city dwellers show off their style. (Google Images)

Skinny pants used to be the norm but I feel like this year everybody stepped out of their comfort zone and I hope they do the same next year in 2016.  These pants were popular in the 60s and 70s so they make the perfect essencial for a retro look.  I love this trend because you can rock it anywhere from the streets of the city to the beach and it's so comfortable yet you still look put together and fashionable.  Flowy Pants, also known as palazzo pants, complete any look and never make it look boring!  I was starting to get bored of the same types of pants all the time so these are so refreshing.  They can also look like a maxi skirt.  What is also so cool about them is they complete any street style look.  I LOVE THEM.
Most love thick, full, or voluminous hair but only some are born with that gift.  The good news is there are plenty of solutions...

Switch your normal shampoo to a volumizing one for a little boost.  It's not the most drastic volumizer but it works, especially if you mix it with other techniques.  I use the herbal essences volumizing shampoo which I feel has worked best for volume but I also use the Organix "thick and full", to be honest I don't notice any changes for volume but i did notice how healthy my hair is after using this.  If you know of one that works better please share in the comments below.

Another product I use is the Aveda "brilliant" medium hold hairspray.  I use it when blow drying and it works amazing.  It's a miracle product!  It gives my hair like five times its original volume.  It works really good on my hair but my hair isn't really thick so if your isn't like mine find the equivalent of this product for your hair type.  But if you do use this then make sure to follow the next technique.

Blow drying your hair upside down help a tiny bit but not too much, HOWEVER mixing this technique with product helps a lot.  Apply the product you use (for me it's the brilliant Aveda spray)  and blow dry your hair upside down for even more volume.

Dry Shampoo is another product that adds volume.  If you are lazy with your hair (I'm guilty of that sometimes) it works double.  Absorbing excess oil and volumizing!  I use "Batiste" which I feel is one of the best brands for this product.
